Yes, I am posting this on January 2017. And yes, these were actually taken on May 2016. To be honest I have actually thought about making this post since the moment I got back from Seoul early May last year. But it got postponed nine months later.
I will begin with a story about my experience at MES 56 first. I started working there mid 2015, as an administrator intern. My first impression of the place was quite shocked as there are mostly guys, and mostly way older than me. I survived, however, with working without getting professionally paid, and mostly working side by side with drunkards, I couldn't point out what actually made me stay this long, but I guess I'm gonna be here for more.
One of the highlights while working at MES 56 is that I got to go to South Korea along with the artists for an exhibition. I was so grateful that they insisted me to come with them, although it was for work, and I ended up doing lots of work there!. But I cannot deny the fact that I was so excited to go to Korea. I am that cheesy!
These photos were taken around the heart of Seoul, using my phone camera. I would wake up early in the morning before we had to go to work, and walked around the hotel where we were staying. Some of the photos were also taken on my last day in the city, my only free day. That day, I made a t-money card (electronic money for public transportation), and strolled around with subway and bus. My Korean is quite good, due to my past addiction to the K-Wave, which helped me a lot in finding my way. I even tried speaking Korean to street vendors, and they were surprised!
